These earrings are loosely based on a pair of earrings I made in high school. I don't have a photo of them anywhere, so I decided to make something new that hearkened back to them. The main elements are all there, but this iteration is a lot more geometric than the original. I love the way that the hammered silver and the sterling fringe both catch the light in totally different ways, and the movement of the fringe makes them even more dynamic.
Although only one square (set on the diagonal so it could also be considered a diamond shape) is immediately apparent, there are in fact fourteen squares per ear. Each of the thirteen pieces of wire on each earring are very narrow gauge square wire rather than round. Granted, it's hard to tell that with the naked eye, but they're there.
