"Who Do You Love"

1988
Sterling silver, black star sapphire, leather

This piece was inspired by George Thorogood's rendition of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love." I combined two lines—"I got a cobra snake for a necktie" and "I got a brand new house on the roadside/It's made out of rattlesnake hide"—to come up with this rattlesnake bolo tie. Each of the small scales was made and attached separately in the wax model.
